SELFY IN A NUTSHELL

Creating self-assessment, protection & healing tools for a resilient CCAM’s ecosystem

About the project

The SELFY project develops a toolbox made up of collaborative solutions with the objective to improve the resilience of the Cooperative Connected Automated Mobility sector.

The project will conduct research and development on algorithms and technologies to build a set of tools to improve CCAM resilience and guarantee data security and privacy when different data is shared.

SELFY’s main goal is to promote a safe and secure operation amongst CCAM vehicles and mobility systems and services, enhancing trust and end-user adoption of CCAM solutions.

  • Trust
  • Situational awareness
  • Resilience
  • Data sharing

OUR TOOLBOX

SELFY toolbox can define a collaborative environment between the different tools to respond to new threats, risks and attacks that come up in the future, facilitating the comprehension of new challenges in the domain of security and cybersecurity of CCAMs.

ALIGNED WITH EUROPEAN NEEDS

Improving security and resilience of the CCAM sector

Cooperative Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) is one of the next big trends in the automotive industry which has the potential to improve transport sector in Europe, leading to a healthier, safer, more accessible, sustainable, cost-effective and demand-responsive transport everywhere and for everyone.

CCAM will become a reality in the coming years thanks to improved connectivity and digitalisation. This will give rise to new cyberattack problems becoming new challenges in the cybersecurity domain.

In Europe, 50 million connected and automated cars are expected to be in circulation by 2026. The EU requires that these vehicles have cybersecurity certificates.

In this scenario, SELFY’s main ambition is to become the main European provider of collaborative tools for the self-management of security and resilience of the CCAM sector, facilitating its adoption at all stages of the value chain.

USE-CASE SCENARIOS

Validation in three real and controlled environments

SELFY solutions will be firstly validated in a lab environment and after this, 3 scenarios in real and controlled environments will be built to demonstrate the toolbox performance in a collaborative and cooperative manner.

  • Resilient Cooperative Mechanisms of vulnerable road users (VRUs) safety
  • Secure empowerment of backend system for traffic management system
  • Robust Platooning
