SELFY partner from THI presented the project and the ongoing creation of a Vehicle Security Operations Centre (VSOC) during a workshop held in the Silicon Valley of Turkey, near to Istanbul, the past 23rd of September with members of key Turkish mobility companies.
Tina Volkersdorfer, researcher, and Mar Folgueral, project manager at CARISSMA – Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), attended the workshop at Siro facilities, producing electric vehicles’ battery modules and packs. Apart from Siro representatives, the workshop was attended by the Turkish electric car manufacturer Togg, FEV Türkiye and members from Eurecat and VUB.
During the meeting, Tina Volkersdorfer presented the SELFY VSOC, a global resilience platform, including tools for decision-making in the event of a cybersecurity incident in the cooperative, connected and automated mobility ecosystem (CCAM), minimising the impact, and recovering the usual and correct behaviour.
The VSOC allows detecting ongoing attacks on a larger scale than single vehicles, using data delivered by SELFY’s tools. SELFY approach advances the reaction to the most sophisticated attacks in current CCAM systems.
The SELFY VSOC is the first approach to a holistic monitoring and control of vehicle fleets in CCAM systems, combining decentralized protection tools with centralized control in CCAM systems. Hence, this will help OEMs to meet the current UNECE WP.29 regulation for cybersecurity.
After the meeting participants could visit Siro battery manufacturing line and experience a demonstrator of the Togg electric vehicle by OEM engineers.
