SELFY partner Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) presented the Vehicle Security Operations Center (VSOC), a key component of the SELFY toolbox, at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the EU-funded PLIADES project, held in Prague on 20–21 May 2025.
During the meeting, Tina Volkersdorfer, researcher at THI, introduced the VSOC as a central cybersecurity solution designed to improve the resilience of Cooperative Connected Automated Mobility (CCAM). Integrated into the SELFY Toolbox, the VSOC plays a crucial role by collecting data, detecting malicious behaviour, and reporting attributes like triggering secure updates.
SELFY VSOC is a pioneering solution developed by partners of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt that is the brain of SELFY Cooperative Resilience and Healing System (CRHS) and relates to different SELFY tools responding threats, risks and attacks in the domain of cybersecurity of CCAM.
The PLIADES project focuses on optimizing AI-enabled data lifecycles and integrating data spaces to boost efficiency and interoperability in diverse domains, including CCAM. As highlighted in the meeting, SELFY’s VSOC offers strong potential for cross-project collaboration. Its capabilities in secure data processing and incident response could support mobility-related use cases within PLIADES, while also benefiting from the project’s work on interoperable data spaces—particularly in relation to OEMs and insurance providers.
